The Phoenix was the United States' only long-range air-to-air missile. Sadly that seems to be the way new things go. If it is a super op missile, gaijin will probably let it slide for the usual 3 or so months (until people stop spending large amounts of golden eagles for it and the modifications) and it will be nerfed.
But really, who knows what we will end up getting? A really good op missile or just another sparrow? The best they could do is something like dcs that is pretty close to irl. I mean how could they perfectly model the real life missile? Most of the information is classified, such as range. I personally don't think they are going to model the aim 54 Phoenix correctly.
